Inspired by acrobatic gymnastics, partner balancing (also known as partner acro, acro balancing, partnering) is a fun fitness and social activity that involves strength, balance, and teamwork. This clinic will primarily focus on inversions, various base positions, and hand balancing. Sign up to work with the coaches of the University of Maryland Gymkana Troupe to learn new poses and improve your skills.

The University of Maryland Gymkana Troupe is an outreach program with the purpose of inspiring healthy, drug-free lifestyles through performances and mentorship. Established in 1946, it is one of the longest running amateur exhibitional gymnastics performance groups in the nation.

What skill level is required?

All experience levels are welcome! Gymkana has always been a home for people of all skill levels, including absolute beginners, to learn gymnastics and acrobatics. We will work with you.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Although signing up with a partner is fun, it’s not required. Individuals are welcome too! We will have other balancers to partner with (some of Gymkana’s current members & recent alumni plan to join the even as well).
